In a busy and continuously on-the-toes town like Mumbai, peace is extremely difficult to attain. It’s extremely important to have a get away from the routine hubbub of the continuously dynamic yet hectic lifestyles. Why you should consider going to ‘Manori Island’?

Immensely beautiful and extremely quiet of a place is this island. There are many budget-friendly yet mind pleasing resorts around the beach. The biggest advantage that this place holds is that it just a few miles away from your home and especially if you live in suburbs then this is so close to you guys that you can actually, visit it at peak hours too. The fact that being so secluded and being an island by itself it is quite far away from the deleterious smoke and pollution making it comparatively pollution free and hostile for a weekend venture. Lastly, people here are extremely supportive and so are the roads, by which we mean that when we cycled all our way to this beauty we encountered zero turbulence midway making our non-stop journey hassle free. Cyclists have an awesome time venturing this place and even return back to Mumbai within an hour or so.

Highlights of Manori Island

The most appealing part of this location is the cliff. Such huge gigantic pillars of rocks with eroded textures on them, make them worth pondering for. Pillars of rocks support not one but many cliffs which hover over the divine beauty of the beach.

The cliffs glow with the radiant solar flare especially in the evening when the sun sets over the horizon giving the area a yellowish tinge. Climbing the rocks is not hard but needs patience as a slip can crack your bones enough to make you stay home for moths. After the tedious trek, you reach up the cliff and the mesmerizing beauty instantly fills your mind up with gratitude making you vulnerable to this gorgeous scene.
From above, you can see the immensely large, Arabian Sea, on your right and a small beach on your left where you should proceed to next if you have ample time and will at your service.
The beach is clean and well maintained by the villagers, though fishing is their prime way to earn their livelihood, they still somehow manage to keep the beach dry and clean for the visitors to folk around during any time of the year.
It is quite astonishing to note that there are rocks near the shore and they actually contribute in making the beach pretty as a picture. Though this place is not completely isolated but there’s no commotion too, around the area hence feels good to be here.

What you should know about this place?

Everything that has positives has some negatives too, though the negatives here are quite less and don’t seem to hinder majority of visitors. Until and unless you don’t do something really unauthorized it’s completely alright to be there hanging around. The place gets quite lonely as it gets dark so anyone going there should get moving as the day light starts to fade. Moreover if you’re travelling by road then there are patches of road that have absolutely no light so you need to be careful around the corner for any animal or person who might cross your path. Make sure to carry some food as the beach has no provisions for food apart from Gola. But if you move towards the village or towards Uttan you might find shops that sell some basic items which can be consumed. Lastly some words of wisdom from our side, cliffs are under constant CCTV surveillance, so any illegal or illegitimate activities done would come directly under their notice.

Money Matters

When it comes to money, apart from all casual expenses like petrol, food and other utilities, only if you take the ferry you might need to pay around 30 bucks per person with bike / cycle costing differently (which is also not more than 30 bucks per vehicle).

In conclusion, our journey to the Manori Island was a full of thrills and excitement, and we were constantly into delusion of how simply ravishing this place is. If you really want to spend some quality time with your loved ones and are looking for some pocket-friendly, people depleted area then you should genuinely give this scenic beauty a try!
