Yes, apart from Juhu, Girgaon where the crowd doesn’t seem to stop
entering, this is a place that’s the complete opposite to something known as
“crowded-places”. Silver Beach is a place to go if you want the time and place
all to you and your family.
We, the Cyclones, cycled all our way from our places to be this
beautiful & serene place and it was love at first sight. Cycling is always
something that uplifts our soul and makes our post-workout glow grime with the
smiles. Adding to all that happiness, the peace of this place made us more
vulnerable to fall for it on our first visit. So now we’ll let you know
everything that you need to know about this place.
There are a million ways to get there, but one of the simplest
ways to get there is by a vehicle. If you own a private car then it’d be really
no problem for you to get there in no time. Once you reach Malad West, it takes
not more than an hour to get to this remarkable place, not counting the traffic
in though.
Second way can be by Bus, Bus No 271 from Malad Station which has
a drop exactly near the beach and can take you there for not more than 30
bucks!
When it comes to cycling all you need is a cycle and a helmet
& off you go following the maps all the way to this amazing yet life-instilling
location.
Silver Beach definitely is a must go place for peace-craving
people. It’s silence and less populated-ness will grab all your attention at a
snap. It not only has a beach that’s clean but adding onto it, it also has
rocky contour to add to its beauty.
If you start walking towards the rocks you’ll soon notice a
lighthouse kinda structure ahead at the end of the rocks calling out to you. It
immediately grabbed our attention as adventure is something that gives a kick!
People who love getting over the rocks and walking up to such broken down
artifacts, this place is definitely for you guys.
The broken down
lighthouse-like artifact looks as appealing as ever. It looks beautiful and
plus it’s the only place where you can see the rest of Mumbai on one side and
Manori island on the other side.
It’s really a place that is quite secluded from the rest of the
town, so it’s not good to stay back after it gets dark. Also, you need to get
your own food so there is hardly any arrangement for food around the corner. Go
all prepared. Lastly, there are big rocks which if you step on can cut straight
into your skin. So carry a band aid if you planning to walk up to the
lighthouse.
The Cyclones
The duo – Vikram Chhabria and Maitreya Bapat, had always dreamt of having making of something where they would record all of their experiences. Avid cycling enthusiasts, these two have cycled to longer places and have plans to extend their reach to many places. The love for cycling and for photography has compelled them to make a blog / website that can easily document and publish their feelings about their motivation-powered journeys to distant places. These localities love to hang in and around making and finding new plus easy ways to get to places undiscovered and completely distant. Go sit back and relax for this amazing fun filled and picturesque voyage around town!
